Animal Numbers
I made number animals. I got an iPad and said "number animals". When I was trying to talk to the iPad it didn't listen and it said "Wikipedia" I had to speak again until I got it right. Then I went into videos and it came up with a picture of a beaver and a kangaroo video. I hit the kangaroo video and it came up with the video of the number animals. Then I drew these pictures. I am proud of them.

My Pointy Nosed Man
I made my pointy nosed man on Monday.
I used cardboard and forks and a paper plate and a split pin.
I think he is cool because he doesn't have any hair.
I like him.

My Red Spitting Cobra
I got newspaper and cardboard and I used paint.
I put a stick in the middle of it's throat so it would stay up.
It was fun making my cobra because I liked colouring it in and doing the painting.

My Weaving
This week I made a weaving. I used an egg carton as the base. I made holes with a nail and then I put cotton wool through the holes. I got some materials I could weave with. It took me three or four days to make. Next, I am going to make a cover for it out of cardboard. Do you like my weaving?

Meet Zendro
Today I made an alien puppet. I used buttons, ice block stick, can tops and eyes. Mrs O helped me glue them on.
Then I wrote his name. I heard all the letters and I learnt the 'dr' sound. I thought of another word that starts with dr - drone. My alien's name is Zendro.
I wonder what adventures Zendro and I will get up to?

Floating and Sinking
Today, Kieran asked me if we could set up a floating and sinking tub. He had seen a piece of pumice in the the classroom.
Kieran helped me take the hose over to the tub and filled the tub with water. He then found a container and found some objects to test. Some other students started to help Kieran look for things. Then, they went out to the tub to test them. The first thing that they tried was the pumice.
I asked Kieran how he could record what floated and sank. We decided we could write it down. Kieran made a graph and wrote the labels 'Float' and 'Sink'. He persevered at sounding out the words. As he tested the objects he predicted if they would float or sink and then he tested them. He used the alphabet card to help him to work out the initial sound of the object and then recorded it on his graph.
Kieran enjoyed sharing his learning with his peers.
"I know that it is a rock but it floats" he said. "Can I show you?"

Building a Bridge
In class, we explored how to build a bridge. After a bit of research and testing, we discovered that we needed to build a structure that was high enough for vehicles to go under. We learnt some new words like pillar that helped us think about our bridge. Here is a picture of my bridge:
